Coaching
Why Coach?
Everyone has their own reasons for getting involved in a junior program or coaching children. Some of the more common reasons is the "giving back" to the next generation where adults invest their time and the benefit of their experience to share what they have learned, and enjoyed while growing up. Another reason to get involved in an activity that their son or daughter is participating in.
Coaches tend to benefit in a myriad of ways, most powerful and moving is to see the sport "click" with the child; to see the child grasp the principles and witness the development and growth.
How To Become a Coach?
The Colorado Junior Cricket Association holds coaching clinics several times a year. Special clinics may also be arranged for special groups. There are several different coaching levels. Every coach is required to begin with Level 1 and proceed from there.
Individuals who have received their coaching certification from International Cricket Council accredited programs, like from the England and Wales Cricket Board, the Australian Cricket Board or the United Cricket Board of South Africa are recognized by the CJCA.
